Return Policy

At AG Cutlery, we take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of every blade we create. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help. Please read our return policy carefully before initiating a return.

1. Return Eligibility

We accept returns under the following conditions:

  • Item must be returned within 30 days of the delivery date
  • Item must be unused, unsharpened, and in original condition
  • Item must be in its original packaging with all accessories included
  • Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is required

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Custom orders, personalized, or engraved items all sales are final
  • Items that have been used, sharpened, or altered
  • Items damaged due to misuse, improper handling, or lack of maintenance
  • Sale or clearance items (unless defective)
  • Gift cards

2. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please follow these steps:

Step 2: Provide Order Details
Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return. If the item is defective or damaged, please attach clear photos.

Step 3: Receive Return Authorization
Our team will review your request and provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number along with return shipping instructions. Do not send items back without an RMA number.

Step 4: Ship the Item
Securely package the item and ship it to the address provided. We recommend using a trackable shipping method as we are not responsible for lost return packages.

Step 5: Refund or Exchange Processed
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you and process your refund or exchange within 5-10 business days.

3. Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: Refund processed within 5-10 business days after approval
  • PayPal / Shop Pay: Refund processed within 3-5 business days after approval
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product
  • A restocking fee of 20% may apply to non-defective returns

4. Exchanges

We are happy to exchange items for a different size, style, or product of equal value, subject to availability. If the replacement item is of higher value, you will be charged the difference. If lower, the difference will be refunded.

To request an exchange, contact us using the information in Section 2 above.

5. Defective or Damaged Items

If you receive a defective or damaged item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the defect or damage
  • Clear photos of the item and packaging

We will arrange for a free replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you, including return shipping.

6. Wrong Item Received

If you received an incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will ship the correct item and arrange return of the wrong item at our expense.

7. Return Shipping Costs

  • Defective / Wrong Item: AG Cutlery covers all return shipping costs
  • Change of Mind / Non-Defective Returns: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • We recommend insuring high-value items during return shipping

8. International Returns

International customers are welcome to return eligible items. Please note:

  • Customer is responsible for all return shipping costs and customs/import fees
  • Clearly mark the package as "Returned Goods" on customs forms to avoid additional duties
  • International return processing may take longer due to shipping transit times

9. Order Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us immediately after placing it. We process orders quickly, so cancellations are only possible before the order has been shipped.

  • Orders cancelled before shipment: Full refund
  • Orders cancelled after shipment: Must follow the standard return process
  • Custom orders: Cannot be cancelled once production has begun

10. Warranty

All AG Cutlery products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from misuse, abuse, or accidents
  • Damage from improper sharpening or maintenance
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
